This, our first show at
Live@Mokah's art gallery, featured three artists-
Michael Lagocki (Founder), David Rodriguez (Founder) and Andrew Tolentino.
Live Music was provided by Nate Underwood.
Each of these visual artists not only showed their work, but created live pieces of art
and gave presentations with a round of Q&A. In Andrew presentation he
gave a live demo of his process and invited the audience to collaborate with
him by providing photos taken at the show in which he then took and
incorporated with his piece.
This was Mike's (image below) third live show of the weekend! Earlier in the weekend he was at the Heroes4Heroes benefit and the Wizard World Convention in Arlington. You can read and see more about that event here. |

Mike creates a live drawing of
Jesus, inspired by Michelangelo's Pieta. He uses Prisma colored pencils to
produce the piece on bristol board. Click on the image to view it larger.

David performs Word Became
Flesh, a live performance painting that uses an uncommon medium.
He uses pages of the Bible to define the skin of Christ to depict The Savior tied to the whipping post on an eight foot tall piece of plywood. His medium is flat house paint. Afterward David does a Q&A with the crowd about the piece and discusses who he is as an artist. |

Mike took the opportunity to do some spoken word
and then that was a wrap. Thanks to all who came out. It was another
ArtLoveMagic experience.
